This year we produced a holiday party at ACL Live at the Moody Theater for one of our favorite clients, Cirrus Logic. We created a beautiful pallet with a mix of greens, blues, purples and peacock feather hues for an extra pop. The Concert Floor was turned into a lounge area with specialty lighting accompanied by illuminated tallboy tables topped with colored ornaments. One of our favorite décor pieces, hands down, is the custom created, over-sized ceiling accent ball fashioned solely of peacock feathers. Custom gobos with peacock feather designs were used to cast the patterns on the walls and floor for the final touch.

Guests not only enjoyed food and cocktails catered by the W hotel, but the one-and-only SPAZMATICS took the stage for some evening entertainment. All in all- this event was one of our favorites to put together.

“I’ve never seen ACL look more beautiful than it did that night!” said the Private Events Sales Lead at the ACL Live.

We joined our long time friends, Austin Tidbits, to create a fabulous night on the town introducing Austin to the newest looks in fashion, design and art. Guests lined up outside the doors of Malverde to see what The Style Masters had to offer. These Style Guru’s showcased a variety of products including locally made jewelry, trendy fashion tops, bottoms, handbags, home décor and unique artwork. Cocktails and passed appetizers from La Condesa started off the night while the designers and artists did the rest. To jazz up things, we had cocktail tables draped in a playful yellow, mood lighting, and a DJ to bring the party to life. We are so thankful that She-n-he Photography was able to capture memories of that night, for this was one for the books! We had a great time working with Austin Tidbits and can’t wait to work with them again!

With over 5,000 in attendance, hundreds of employees were put in the spotlight during the awards celebration and we can’t help but remember the other things that shined in the ballroom that night. Gold, red and blue colors fused together created a classic look that made heads turn, people talk and camera’s flash. The beautiful centerpieces, complete with red roses, towered over each table setting up a refined look that captured everyone’s gaze. The blue uplighting throughout the ballroom added the perfect and final touch.

For the grand finale, we designed custom lounge areas with a modern feel. Although each lounge represented a different mood, we kept the flow cohesive and added specialty LED lighting to give it that extra pop! Guests were piling in to see the array of possibilities. With the live band playing, plenty of room for dancing, an assortment of foods and libations, you can imagine the excitement. What better way to celebrate the end of a long business week?

With their August Bachelor Issue and the Home Issue release happening simultaneously, Austin Monthly Magazine reached out to us for some extra hands to put together an amazing event. We were thrilled to work alongside and coordinate their annual tradition. The Kennedy team collaborated with a great venue, delicious food sponsors and brought in beautiful décor pieces. The venue host for the event, Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum, offered a unique twist. In the space, we created a relaxed, inviting atmosphere with lounge areas for guests to sit back and enjoy the party. The lighting produced a distinct ambiance and the lone red carpet runway leading to the main stage topped it all off. We had the bachelor’s strut down the red carpet for introductions. After all- they are the most eligible guys in town-we didn’t want the ladies to miss their chance! We truly enjoyed this event and hearing all the great things these Bachelors are doing here in Austin, Texas.

The bride’s sweeping dress elegantly wrapped to the side tied in perfectly with her modern 1950’s theme. Simple groupings of flickering candles and rose petals guide the way to the ceremony Alter. Manzanita branches with hanging votives frame the Alter with a luminous elegance.

As guests entered the reception at the beautiful Blanton Museum of Art, mini martini glasses holding escort cards greet them. Setting the mood for the evening was the stunning Rapaport Atrium with its 50-foot tall ceiling and walls made of exquisite blue marble. Vintage in style, the floral arrangements consisted of white anemone and hydrangeas accented with modern touches of green chrysanthemums illuminated at the base with LED lights. Manzanita branches with dripping crystals elegantly finish the table décor.

The Bride’s Tiffany Blue square tiered cake embellished with vintage broaches was a show stopper which guests were swooning over all evening.

The memorable night was completed with a pathway lined with family and friends lighting the night with sparklers. The newlyweds bid their farewell and hopped into a 1950’s baby blue Buick to be whisked away for the evening.

1. SHAPE A super fun way to play with your bridesmaid dresses is to change up the shape. Give your bridesmaids the color and length of dress you want them to find and let them chose the shape and design. This is a great way to let your girls find a great dress that they love in a shape that makes them look and feel fantastic. This also solves the problem of the “one-time-wear” bridesmaids dress. Your bridesmaids will surely be ready to dance all night long!

2. ACCESSORIES Letting your bridesmaids show their personality through their fabulous footwear is a great accent to any bridesmaids dress. With their matching dresses, vibrant unconventional shoes are a trendy addition to the modern wedding. A great advantage to your bridesmaids choosing whatever shoe they want is that they will be more likely to find a stylish but still comfortable shoe that they will be able to keep on as you all dance away the night.

3. COLOR If you are not a traditional bride and want an nontraditional bridal party, you can change things up completely by letting your girls have free rein over their wedding day attire. When having your bridesmaids wear different color dresses, make sure to stay in the same color family or in the color scheme of the wedding.

We loaded up our 24-foot truck with décor and supplies and headed out on our cross country trek that included back-to-back events in three cities over the course of a week.    

When we reached our first destination, the fun began!  We were tasked with creating environments in which mobility was essential:  a home office and a café, and an environment that enables mobility:  a corporate data center.  We got to work creating the scenarios on each campus.  The overall décor included spandex circular panels in Dell blue with hints of orange and white.  To create the “home office”, office furniture was used to create work spaces for sales representatives and their sales materials.  To outfit the “corporate center”, 1,200-pound server racks were brought in and linens made of spandex completed the overall look and feel. The “café” featured a bar branded with partner logos, authentic menu boards, lounge furniture and café tables with “flower” arrangements made entirely of server cables.  And, because a café isn’t a café without delicious smells and tastes, gourmet soups and sandwiches were available courtesy of Panera Bread.

 Mother Nature provided a little bit of excitement while we were in Nashville.  At the insistence of our client, the event was cut short so we could get on the road and make it safely back to Austin before the snowstorm moved into the area.  And for that, we thank them!

From a sun kissed color palette of persimmon, gold, creams and hints of aquamarine to the bride’s vintage inspired dress, every element of the décor reflected a chic island feel.   The vintage style was even reflected in the flora that included anemones, Charlie Brown orchids, roses and white peacock feathers.  For the ceremony, we wanted the beautiful seaside to serve as the décor.  The simple touches of starfish, bamboo and an acoustic musician created an intimate setting for a sunset wedding.

We wanted the reception to be as intimate as the ceremony for the bride & groom’s 75 guests.  Held at The Westin Resort, guests were greeted with island infused music while strings of paper lanterns illuminated the evening from above.  Calligraphied sand dollars served as place cards and favors and a vintage candy bar featured sweet treats.  Delicate, hand-made gum paste anemones were flown in from Austin, TX, to add the finishing touch to the cake.

The evening wouldn’t have been complete without playing up the bohemian side of this couple!  A beach bonfire outfitted with blankets for the guests to stay cozy was the perfect way to end a perfect day.  And, in their spontaneous and romantic style, the happy couple rode off into happily ever after on their island scooter.
